Hand-painted ketubot, designed together with the couple.
Beneath a flowering pergola
About the work
Slender climbing branches build a pergola around the text, curving above into a wide, luminous arch. Small corollas, from soft pink to fuchsia, dot a fine foliage crossed by sinuous brown stems. A second, slighter border in golden tones runs along the perimeter with tiny pale flowers, almost like embroidery. The large open space beneath the arch lightens the composition and prepares the eye to meet the calligraphy. The grace of this ketubah lies precisely in its lightness: a slender, lively botanical weave, able to give the page depth without weighing down its surface.
