Hand-painted ketubot, designed together with the couple.
A corolla in a circle
About the work
A double golden ring defines the dominant motif of this ketubah: a circular crown of flowers that gathers the writing within a clearly bounded central field. Wide corollas and small buds follow one another in a palette of pink, mauve, violet and red, interspersed with little green and brown leaves. The varying size of the flowers animates the eye's path, avoiding the rigidity of uniform repetition; in the lower part, the more vivid tones give greater weight to the garland. The outer inscription also follows the curve of the circle. The composition thus gains an intimate, precious quality, like a botanical medallion, in which line, colour and calligraphy share the same centre.
