Branches beneath the star

About the work

Beneath a golden Star of David, two branches curve inward and open a botanical vault above the writing. The decoration unfolds mainly along the sides, with pink and lilac flowers, small clusters of corollas, dark leaves and slender brown elements. The design retains a pleasing irregularity: the stems fork, coil and change direction, giving the border a natural movement. The side inscriptions accompany this growth, while at the base a wavy line of words and sprouts gently closes the page. The pale tone of the ground sets off the black calligraphy and lets the luminous touches of the decoration emerge, composing a solemn, floral whole.
