Geometry meets blossom

About the work

The precision of a hexagonal frame meets the freedom of a blossoming arrangement all around. The golden border, underlined on the inside by a fine texture of small curls, introduces a sharp geometric centre, to which a looser, more asymmetrical vegetation responds. Large green and turquoise leaves, pink flowers with wide petals, tiny berries and earth-coloured accents expand toward the margins, in an open, contemporary design. The contrast between the corners of the frame and the curves of the stems gives energy to the composition. In the photographs the central field is still without the final writing: this stage lets one appreciate with particular clarity the dialogue between the luminous structure of the hexagon and the exuberance of the botanical border.
