Hand-painted ketubot, designed together with the couple.
Corollas of purple and golden writing
About the work
Large corollas of intense pink and magenta give this ketubah a decisive character, upheld by the contrast with dark leaves and brown-gold branches. Some flowers open like fans, others stretch into buds and small clusters, giving the frame a movement rich in variation. An arched inscription crowns the text and converses with the golden heading; two slender leafy branches accompany its sides, distinguishing the field of writing from the outer vegetation. The differing scale of the motifs is the work's most expressive element: the ample blossoms of the margins are answered by the fineness of the inner borders. The result is a luminous, theatrical presence, upheld by a rigorous calligraphic framework.
